An
Introduction to Washburn Electric Guitar
When people talk of guitars, they’d probably talk of the Gibson models or the Fender’s. It’s unlikely that they’d talk of the Washburn guitars. Washburn, however, has been around for a considerable number of years. People who have tried out the Washburn guitar would speak highly of the quality and affordability of their guitars.
Where it
All Started
Washburn has not just been round for a couple of decades. It actually has been around since 1883. Back then, Washburn was not yet manufacturing electric guitars. It was only around the 1920s that the focus of Washburn shifted and centered towards musical instruments. The place – Washburn – became the center of music as well.
When demand for guitars started to escalate, Washburn started to manufacture guitars for blues players. This was quite expected since Washburn is in Mississipi, the home of the Blues music. Washburn then started to create a line of electric guitars along with other instruments like mandolins and banjos. They were also manufacturing amps by the dozen.
